My Google+ Question
If you spend five minutes on Google+, do you feel the need to spend another five on Facebook? Or does Google+ fulfill your social networking needs for the hour?
Here’s another way of thinking about it. Is Google+ taking minutes away from Facebook, or adding to the time you spend in a web browser?
I’m a Diaspora backer
I think this Kickstarter - Diaspora deal is fascinating. 4 kids end up with 6 figures of funding. Clearly there is a growing desire to create a simple, elegant social network with manageable privacy settings. I can’t wait to see what they come up with.
Yes, I realize that Facebook isn’t going anywhere, and they will probably have all of their privacy issues worked out by the end of the year. These kids still deserve a chance.
