Tumblr Schwag:
Ask and ye shall receive. I wrote an email to the president of Tumblr asking for schwag. I clearly received more than I expected. Thoroughly cool. I don’t expect this type of generosity from startups, but I respect it highly. Pins Stickers Table tents “Hello my name is… My Tumblr is…” nametags

Tumblr Hacks

This morning I discovered a really cool Tumblog:

http://hacks.tumblr.com/

I went through everything it has to offer and found a couple particularly cool Tumblr related hacks. The first one is called Tumblephone. Basically, Tumblr pages are automatically optimized for iPhones by going to tumblephone.com/[tumblr username]. Check it out for my site: http://tumblephone.com/tehdik.

The other hack I discovered (and honestly should have figured out on my own) is adding an iPhone webclip icon. Remember how exciting it was when the custom webclip icon feature appeared? I remember manually creating dozens of them on my own server for Apple store co-workers. Well, if you use custom HTML for your Tumblog then you can enter one line of code into the <head> section for your custom 57x57 PNG file:

<link rel=”apple-touch-icon” href=”[server address]/apple-touch-icon.png”/>

That’s it. Check out my iPhone now:
